The Consciousness and Energy Research Fellowship is an initiative of the Subtle Energy Funders Collective (SEFC) - a collaborative group of philanthropists dedicated to advancing the scientific understanding and validation of subtle energy and biofield healing. Together, SEFC seeks to catalyze the integration of evidence-based biofield therapies into mainstream healthcare, personal wellness, and culture.
The Consciousness and Energy Research Fellowship is an initiative of the Subtle Energy Funders Collective (SEFC) - a collaborative group of philanthropists dedicated to advancing the scientific understanding and validation of subtle energy and biofield healing. Together, SEFC seeks to catalyze the integration of evidence-based biofield therapies into mainstream healthcare, personal wellness, and culture.

Managing Partner, Subtle Energy Funders Collective
David Leibsohn manages the Subtle Energy Funders Collective, a collaborative of philanthropists and investors committed to help scientifically validate subtle energy and biofield healing and advance an evidence-based paradigm into mainstream health and wellness. David is an experienced executive and entrepreneur with over 20 years in technology and clean energy business. He has long had a passion for supporting human transformation, and now works to advance science, technology, and organizations that can elevate mental and emotional well-being, performance, and human flourishing at scale. In addition to the Subtle Energy Funders Collective, David has been an early supporter of the Transformative Technology Conference, Consciousness Hacking, and the Shift Network, and advises numerous purpose-guided start-up companies.

Meredith Sprengel
Research and Program Director, Subtle Energy Funders Collective
Meredith Sprengel is the Research and Program Director for the Subtle Energy Funders. Collective and is currently acting as interim Program Manager for the Biofield Fellowship Research Program. Ms. Sprengel has a BA in psychology and government from Georgetown University and a MS in Conflict Analysis and Resolution. Trained in social psychological research methods and research evaluation and assessment, she has spent the last ten years working in the fields of integrative medicine and biofield science with the Samueli Institute, the Samueli Foundation’s Integrative Health Programs, The John W. Brick Mental Health Foundation, and also as guest researcher at The Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research. Her research focuses on evaluating the integration of complementary modalities into allopathic medicine for the treatment of anxiety, trauma, and chronic pain to enhance resilience and wellbeing and foster whole-person healing.

Requirements
Complete the project within 1–2 years.
Submit progress reports and a final report.
Publish findings in a peer‑reviewed journal (expected).
Present research at the Annual Research Conference.
Participate in regular curated online gatherings with cohort and mentors.
Community‑Building
Fellows join a wider community of emerging and established biofield researchers, engaging via online forums, small virtual meetings and events, workshops, regular communications, and in‑person sessions (e.g., at the Annual Research Conference).
